About Us
Who We Are
The Rearview is part of a larger collective of automotive and powersports brands owned by YNYT, LLC. Based in Austin, TX we have created video content for over a decade and generated hundreds of millions of views.
We are a passionate group of three who love unearthing amazing stories and sharing our love of all things motorsports. Our most popular brand, Yammie Noob, has over 1,500,000 subscribers on YouTube and helps motorcycle riders through educational and entertaining content.
We have operated dozens of sweepstakes since 2019 and allocated over $800,000 in vehicles. We are compliant with all known laws of the United States, bonded and insured in New York and Florida.
Why We Started The Rearview
The Rearview was born out of something we noticed was missing in the world of automotive content on YouTube: nuance and perspective.
Too often, we reduce our storytelling and ideas to the lowest common denominator to chase viewership. We thought to ourselves “What if we could find a new way? What if we unearthed those stories from the past but put a fresh spin on it?” From there, The Rearview was born.
Our goal is to get you to think “Wow, I never thought about it that way.” We want to spark memorable content, the kind that makes you want to tell a friend about it. Think of The Rearview like a great friend of yours recounting a story at a quiet wine bar.
At YNYT, we amassed over a decade of experience in crafting content, compelling narratives, and building an audience. We set our sights on the automotive space and never looked back. We’re not looking for mass market appeal. Instead, we want to cultivate a smaller group of like minded people who share our vision. We’re making content for enthusiasts, and great stories for everyone else.
Our Team
Eric Barros - Founder
Eric launched YNYT in 2016 and developed it to include e-commerce operations, daily video content, and a premium membership program. He has enjoyed all things powered by engines since he was a boy and loves sharing that passion with the world. When he’s not behind the wheel of a sports car or going elbow down on a racetrack with a superbike, he enjoys spending time with his family, making music and drinking high quality drip coffee.
Logan Mulholland - Writer and Producer
Logan Mulholland is a passionate creative who enjoys writing and producing video. He draws inspiration from literature, counter-culture, and the ever changing modern zeitgeist. When he's not behind the lens or writing a script, he enjoys riding his motorcycle and his bicycle. Logan has been with YNYT for nearly four years.
Josh King - Video Editor
Josh King is an award winning video producer and editor. Specializing in documentaries, corporate videos and broadcast productions, his skillsets are wide and varied. Josh has been part of the team at YNYT for over three years, editing hundreds of videos which have received millions of views.
Our Vision
We exist to preserve the analog experience of driving. We believe that driving should exist as a salve in our highly distracted world. It shouldn’t be an extension of your smartphone.
Manual transmissions, fewer screens, more physical controls: this is what we believe to be the antidote. It’s not about spec sheets, or investment potential, or about badge prestige. It’s about the intangible feeling when it all comes together on the road.
We want to preserve these artifacts and find stewards for these vehicles. As the analog experience fades away, there is a class of modern enthusiast vehicle that will become highly sought after.
We are here to locate these vehicles, discuss them, and find the next steward. Please read all official rules on our handover process and visit our process page.
